Flex seal dosent work.

It wasn't cheap in cost either, so I would hate for anyone to waste their money trying it.

Go to Home Depot and buy Rustoleum Leak Seal for $10. same thing, no hype, trusted company, no extravagant handling charges. For bigger cracks use Rust-Oleum 5091 10-Ounce Tube Watertite Poly Seal Joint Filling Waterproofing Caulking first.

I used this to patch an asphalt roof leak around a sky-light. I followed the instructions carefully. Frequently shaking and holding the can upside sown to clear the nozzle. I ran out of propellent while there was still product in the can. I used one can then waited a day to apply another coat with the other can. No rain and low humidity between applications. I applied a six-inch wide patch with one inch up the side of the sky light. Coverage I got out of the can was about eight square feet per can. Next rainfall, I still have the leak. I can't imagine applying the product any thicker. I would say the product is over priced and in-effective.

I had some flashing around my chimney and some gutters that were leaking. The roofer told me he needed to replace and reseal the aluminum flashing (although it showed no wear at all) an replace all of the gutters. The job was going to run close to $600. I'm on SS and knew I couldn't possibly afford that but a friend suggested I give Flex Seal a try. They sell it at my local grocery so I picked up a couple of cans for about what they go for here. I'm glad I did. I cleaned up all the areas and liberally sprayed the stuff. That was almost two years ago and I still have no leaks.

I used the product on 2 different items and it did not solve my problem in either case. It is very messy and if it gets on your clothing kiss it goodbye. It was a big disappointment and I followed their instructions very closely.

Do not pay these foolish prices for this stuff. This is just Rubberized undercoating in an aerosol can which can be purchased at any auto parts store for around $5. I can't believe these clowns can get away with charging so much for this.

We had a composite base water fountain that had cracks in the base and didn't hold water anymore. I tried some foam filler to seal it but that didn't work. So when I went to Lowes to look for another sealer, the sales clerk said to try this. I knew it had mixed reviews but they said if it didn't work, I could bring it back. No risk.

So I cleaned out the base, sprayed it once. It looked like it could work. It provided a even coating of rubber everywhere. I waited a day, sprayed again, and repeated the next day. Three coats, one full can gone.

I was so excited since it looked like it had sealed everywhere. Come-on! They float a boat on a screen door! It had to work for my small cracks.

Another few days of curing, just to be sure. The moment had come to fill it with water. And... out came the water from the bottom. It must have filled some of the cracks in but it still leaked in spots and I wasn't going to spend money buying another can to see if I could finish sealing it.

So, I'm sure if you used 50 cans, it might work. I can't imagine how many they used on the screen door. But for me, in the small space I tried, carefully following directions, it didn't work.
