14 + 14 is an exciting compilation of Aventura s best songs in audio and studio video. The record allows us to trace the group s history, commencing with Cuando volveras, the fi rst Aventura song to make waves on radio, through El malo, produced in 2010. Though the initial videos, Obsesion and Cuando volveras were produced on a shoestring budget compared to those released since 2005, these early efforts ooze with freshness and creativity. The boys are tender and young and it was already obvious they were going to hit big some day. 14 + 14 is an opportunity to watch the group s videos in chronological order from beginning to end and to feel a part of the real Aventura experience!

Format:Audio CD
14 x 14 is a must for any Aventura fan - and - for non-fans - well, they will be convinced to enter "Aventura fan-dom". Starting with the presentation of the record - artwork, choice of photos (many previously unreleased), lyrics, elegant menus on the DVD - this is definitely a class act. It contains all of the songs that were promoted over the group's explosive career with corresponding videos. I particularly enjoyed their very first video - "Cuando volveras." Though obviously a low budget enterprise, creativity and great acting on this "mini-film" were not spared. The guys are so young - just little babies! As you go from video to video you are able to view the progress of the group and are once again reminded that they are definitely the "Kings!"

Format:Audio CD
I have to say, Aventura is nasty. I mean it; no pun intended. They got me into bachata, and though I'm still fairly new to a lot of Spanish/Latin music (I'm still learning the language lol), Aventura is my personal favorite. What a great band. Great melodies, great rhythms and instrumentation, and I love how they incorporate a lot of other elements into their music aside from the traditional bachata stuff. No offense to the pioneers and previous kings of the genre. They keep it bachata without letting it get too repetitive or boring. Romeo Santos (as far as I can understand or have translated) is a great singer-songwriter, and he has a unique, unmistakable voice. I think they just got better and better with time. The Last was a great album.
Anyway, what can I say about this compilation? Well, it contains all of their hits, but don't get it twisted; this is not a "best of" collection. No one CD could contain the best of Aventura. There's too much material. This is great for Aventura fans, though, and new-comers as well because not only do you get all their hits on one CD, you get a DVD with all the videos, too! This is especially helpful if you don't speak a lot of Spanish or if you're not fluent because you can see what the songs are about and it help you get a better feel for them. The fact that the lyrics are included in the album booklet are great for that, too. This compilation also has the alternate version of "Su Veneno"which isn't on The Last, and I love that version just as much as the original, album version. Another reason I liked this album is because you get "El Perdedor," "Los Infieles," and "Mi Corazoncito" from KOB. I'm not a fan of many live albums, and I definitely wasn't a fan of KOB, but I loved those three songs.
Whether you're a fan or just getting into bachata, I strongly recommend this. For less than 12 bucks?? Bananas... ;)

Loved it! It's a great album that goes through all the musical history of Aventura, showing the high level reached by these excellent musicians.
