5.0 out of 5 stars I never understood until now
When I was younger I was sheltered from certain cartoons such as He-Man and Smurf's because my mom did believe that these things were not of God, but now I do understand. I think this book is a must have tool for every parent. Satan is free to Rome to and fro among the earth and his influences voluminous. 1.0 out of 5 stars Fueling the Myth
Here's another example of religion being based on fear and how misconceptions can create hatred. True Wicca has absolutely nothing to do with Satan. Before you you judge too heavily, remember that Christianity was once hidden and secret (the meaning of the word occult) and persecuted against. A better book would be "The Truth About Witchcraft Today" by Scott...

I think this book is a must have tool for every parent. Satan is free to Rome to and fro among the earth and his influences voluminous. Witch craft is prevalent in the world and also in our cartoons and it something that we should guard our kids against. Look how fast they came to defend themselves...it speaks for itself. Remember we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for EVERY Parent, October 15, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: 14 Things Witches Hope Parents: (Audio Cassette)
Every now and then you find a book that stays in your memory forever. This is one of them. 14 Things Witches Hope Parents Don't Find Out has a wealth of information about cartoons, movies, toys, music, and games. It digs in deep, and uncovers devices that Satan uses to subtly lure our young children into acceptance of the occult and new age practices. We all grew up with Walt Disney. This book reveals a side of Disney we may never have seen before. Are they as family friendly as they lead us to believe? Are the toys your child plays with really as inocent as they appear? Did you know that a cartoon charactor on Smurf's is named after a demon? But it's not just our little ones being attacked. Many popular rock artists are heavily into the occult and our teenagers are just as vunerable to these attacks as their younger siblings. What about the jewelry your teenage son or daughter wears? Do you really understand those symbols on her necklace? This book will answer these questions, and many more. This is a must read for every Christian parent in this day and age.

3.0 out of 5 stars Who is to Judge? God only, I say....., August 31, 2001
This review is from: 14 Things Witches Hope Parents: (Audio Cassette)
You know, if we were to always look at everything and say "there is evil here and there, do not do this, do not do that, etc to our children... Our children may never live a full life. I love God and being in his presence. I share that with my family. But Christians should recall that Jesus met, ate and spoke with sinners. That is the reason why he was! So, if your child is to, lets say, read or hear this story, it should be for learning and informational purposes. Not to go around judging people. The love of Christ is not to go around condemning or judging, but to show the love of God to others. Because of different cultures, there will be different beliefs and ways of loving God. I believe there is only one God. Reviewing the book to me should be about; how informative it is, the openness of such information and what can be shared and learned from it. Books are made to share, inform and educate. So, it sounds like a cult....well, then teach the child about it. Use examples to explain what a cult can be like verses religion, beliefs, church. Everyone may serve God, but everyone has their own special and unique belief. Some of it comes from our upbringing. Sometimes, reading such books can prepare you to be aware, discern and pick up on areas that may not be right for you and your family, or your area of belief (God and Christ). So, lets not be too judgemental of a book. Take it and learn from the bad and the good. Wisdom is priceless.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why Do People Belive Such [Stuff]???, November 25, 2002
This review is from: 14 Things Witches Hope Parents: (Audio Cassette)
You know, its you freaky christain parents that raise the worst children. When you shield your child from things like that it just makes them want to rebell when they grow up. Also, I think this author might be living in La La land. I don't think there's much pride in being a christian. People just need to learn to open their eyes a little and see how stupid they are being. If someone you know has just come out of the broom closet (witch's term for letting everyone know you're Wiccan) and you're thinking about reading this book to learn more, you need to look elsewhere. Try When Someone You Love Is Wiccan: A Guide to Witchcraft and Paganism for Concerned Friends, Nervous Parents, and Curious CO-Workers by Carl McColman.
