1.0 out of 5 stars Two words -- "ECHO CANCELLATION", September 15, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: AT&T 1430 2.4 GHz Analog Cordless Telephone with Caller ID/Call Waiting (Espresso) (Office Product)
This phone met all my requirements... It was 2.4GHz, had caller id... message indicator light ... headset jack... and the price was great... so what was the catch?

You can't use this phone unless you are in the cone of silence with absolutely no background noise. This phone picks up every bit of background noise on your end and amplifies it through the earpeace. My friends now think my favorite word is "huh", because I have to ask them to repeat themselves every two seconds.

SAVE YOUR MONEY... stay away until the old AT&T (circa 1980) manufactures this phone correctly.

I would have to agree with the other reviews which I have read. The sound quality is poor on this phone. There is also some feedback noice on the phone which is very annoying.
