This filter is a universal Cut-to-Fit activated carbon pre-filter which helps remove large particles and reduce common household odors such as cooking odors, tobacco smoke odors, pet odors, musty odors, etc. The large cut-to-fit activated carbon sheet measures 15-3/4quot; x 48quot; and makes 1 to 4 pre-filters depending on the model. For optimum performance, replace pre-filter every 2 to 3 months.

This is the charcoal foam, large size, which had to be cut to fit my little old Biotech (Bionaire) air filter. It seemed way too big, but was easy to cut, since it's not very thick. And now I have plenty of "stock" for future replacements. Again, thanks for carrying these filters.

Buying a large sheet of this material saved me a small fortune over buying the Nu-Tone range hood filters pre-cut to size, as the new filters always include the metal screen (which is easily cleaned in some Simple green or soapy ammonia). Don't throw your money away - buy this and you will have enough to make up several filter refills.
