The DELTA 15-333 Variable Speed Drill Press features a 3/4 HP three-phase motor that has a 24-volt push-button, magnetic starter. It has a variable-speed drive allowing you to select a different spindle speed while the machine is running. The drill maintains proper belt tension automatically so you'll always have full power transmission. A snubber feature holds speed settings constant no matter the load conditions. The quill is large with a two-inch diameter, and a long quill travel lets you do deep-hole jobs such as skip and gang drilling. The drill features extra-large spindle bearings "6 PLUS 6" and "VS6" spindle and spindle pulleys that are supported by lubricated-for-life ball bearings. The table tilts 90 degrees in both directions and measures 11 x 14 inches. Included is the table, motor and controls, belt and pulley guard, belt and motor pulley, self-locking depth stop, depth gauge, self-ejecting chuck key.
From the Manufacturer
The shop-proven Delta 15-333 drill press is ideal for woodworking, cabinet, and metal-drilling applications and deep hole jobs like skip and gang drilling. Extra-robust spindle bearings, massive 2 inch quill, and lifetime-lubricated bearings deliver smooth, chatter-free drilling with no maintenance. A “snubber” keeps drilling speeds constant under load. The tilt-table enables positioning larger assemblies and clearing woodworking and cabinet making jigs at different angles to the drill head. Six speeds (450-4,700 RPM) enables customizing bit speed for drilling hard and soft materials from wood to metal to plastics with the 1725 RPM motor or 300-3,100 RPM speed range with a 1,140 RPM motor. Delta offers a 5 year warranty.
