I have tried out the graphic capabilities of the Nvidia 9600GS. I ran the 3D Future Mark 05 and all tests plus the demo ran smooth. EVE online played in Premium graphics at 70fps a second. I also use Autodesk 09, it as well runs smooth.
The sound at first is quite, but gets better once it is used for the first few times. Other features must be turned on to get improved sound.
I am also very happy with the software and firmware support for this model. Asus does have a good support team on hand. I would like to know how it will perform with a 64bit Operating System. It is only running a 32bit Operating System. I will find out in the future about the performance difference, but this laptop has more potential, it's a nice machine.
The Cam works well and has wide view angles. The tilt of the Cam is a help to being able to pitch the screen. The Asus Cam software has some neat extra features. The audio card works very well with my creative 7.1 surround sound system.
I have only seen temperatures from the exhaust as high as 130 f degrees when gaming. I do not game on the battery. However I have used the batter y and it will go all out to perform for you, if you demand it. I use the battery sparingly.
The machine is silent at idle. I have had it over a month and have no problems at what so ever.

It's works very well.
Wonderfull the video card, you can play heavy games.
The sound system is better than a lot of other laptops.
I recommend you this laptop.
