Horrible TV and horrible company. Unit failed and was returned numerous times w/in the warranty period. Each time it was returned it took 6+ weeks to be returned. First repair was returned DOA, second failed w/in 1 week. Still no resolution. Unit is ready for the dumpster and not even 14 months old. I wouldn't buy anything labeled Polaroid.

We purchased this Polaroid TV/DVD combo from Target. I was suspicious of the set when it took a while to load a DVD. The player growled when it loaded. It takes a long time for you to channel surf and to lower or raise the volume. You have to go to an input screen to go from TV to DVD or for any other function. Another poor design.
Now after only 6 months, the DVD player does not work.
If I could go back in time, I would not have bought this set. Like Dad said, "You get what you pay for."

It's getting one star because a minus star isn't available. I don't know if the picture is any good because I had couldn't even attach the stand. I tried to call the phone number listed on the instruction sheet three times only to get a strange sound, neither ring nor fax. I tried the website listed along with the phone number -"webpage not available" popped up. I finally Googled a new web address, found another phone number, called on Saturday, received a recorded message telling me to call back during business hours. Are they kidding? I paid for a TV to watch ASAP not the following week. Google also gave me another website but I realized it wasn't even Polaroid but some company that first asks how much one wants to pay for their service. You are given three prices to choose from. Good gracious!
Shame on Polaroid for their lack of customer support but also shame on Google as I was very specific in my request for the Polaroid web address.

We had this TV for a year and generally enjoyed it, until the DVD simply stopped functioning. Out of the blue (not as a result of being dropped, etc.) it just started making horrible crunching noises. Not a well-made product overall.

This television worked without fail for 1 year........... right after the warranty expired, so did the t.v. We have had nothing but problems and excuses from Polaroid since then. Customer service ( if you can call it that) was of no help at all. You have to wait minimum 1 hour to talk to someone, and then the tech support advised me to just go buy another set because repairs would cost more than a new set. I knew I was taking a risk buying an untried television brand to begin with, but this is just stupid. Read the other reviews plus mine before plunking down any cash on a Polaroid television........ it's not worth the aggravation.

I got one of this Polaroid TV with built in DVD and I am totally disappointing. First, the TV screen went black after a month of purchase. I had to send it back to the company (and pay the mail by myself since they did not cover the fee!!). I received a second one, and after another two months the DVD stopped working. Again, I had to go through the whole process of sending back the TV and wait a while to receive a new one. But, AGAIN, with my new third tv, the DVD stopped functioning again!! the worst, they told me that after three months it is not considered under warranty, so I had to keep it. I got three brand new tv-dvd Polaroid units, and they were all trash! Judge yourself.

I bought this little guy about 10 months ago for my camper. He's bounced around on 10k miles of roads and hiways and still works fine.

I run him off a 175 watt inverter. Polaroid doesn't sell a 12 volt lighter adaptor although they should since the unit itself is 12 volt.

One problem - when I got him he was mildly insane - had trouble finding the root menu on some dvds. I phoned support (888-896-9859) and they mailed me an upgrade disk. So now he's fine.

Oh, and I do wonder a bit about the intelligence of the people at polaroid because they put the model/serial number label where it is completely covered if you use a vesa standard mounting plate. Duh~

I will never buy ANY Polaroid product again. Customer service is as bad as it gets. I bought a 15.4" LCD TV and it lasted 13 months. Yes...right after the warranty expired. Total crap.

OMG! I had this TV for exactly 13 months, and one night the screen just went black. I NEVER used the DVD player even one single time. WOW, what a HUGE disappointment!....and Poloroid's Customer Service is WORTHLESS! I feel like the other reviewer who summed it beautifully by saying that he felt like he rented this TV for the last year! AMEN!

You have to be in a dead center to see the picture or it goes dark. Terrible TV !
