Unfortunately, the product is useless. Does not adhere to vents. Barely supports it's own weight on a solid steel locker.
Product not as advertised and has very weak magnetism. Would not purchase again.

This is just simply a magnet. It only works as well as the metal of the vent cover. It did not stick at all to my ceiling vent covers, and only worked ok at best on the wall ones. In my master bedroom they worked great because I have ornate covers there with plenty of metal, and plenty of surface contact. You need to realize that the common louvered covers don't actually provide alot of surface area for contact between the magnet and the metal. I used clear packing tape to cover my ceiling vent covers. It stops the drafts, but I am sure it doesn't insulate that well.

Buy these magnetic strips for uses other than to cover vents. Have noted that since my original purchase of 3 about 2 years ago, that the strips are much thinner. Do to economy or better grip for the vent cover buyers I do not know. They cut easier but also tear a lot quicker due to the thinness.
