I have a Generac generator with Torx head bolts. I bought these to use on my drill. I grabbed the first socket which matched perfectly with the bolt. Started my drill and suddenly my drill was spinning freely yet the bolt had not budged. Then I realized the top had broken off in the bolt head. Okay, I didn't start slow. Maybe it's my fault. So I grabbed the next smallest and chose a second bolt. I started the drill slowly. Again it started spinning freely. A second socket had broken off in a second bolt head. The metal is so soft it has almost fused with the bolt head. The bolt has lost no metal. They are solid bolts. It's possible that Torx head sockets made out of candle wax would have been more effective. Or possibly a meatloaf. I've definitely had meatloaf tougher than these sockets.

So buy these at your own risk. Look at my other reviews. I have few low reviews. Maybe I'm easy to please. But these sockets are abysmal.

Twisted my T40 socket during its first use. They're nicely finished, but don't hold up to any sort of use.
One star for actually existing. Not tough enough to do much.

Got them today, the Amazon's listing doesn't have much information on this set, this is what I can tell you.

Sorry, already thru out the box they came in, so I can't tell you who the manufacturer is.

All the tamper proof Torxs are stamped deeply (not rubbing off because of use) with:
CR-V
Taiwan
and there size

1/4" drive sizes:
T10, T15, T20, T25, T27, T30
There is no tangs or dimples on them to receive a driver, extension bar, etc.
But they are not falling off my 1/4" drive ratchet or spinner handle either.

3/8" drive sizes:
T40, T45, T47, T50, T55, T60
They are tanged on two sides at 180 degrees for each other.

Set includes a female 3/8" to 1/4" male adapter,
and two rails with clips for storage.

The holes seem fairly centered. On the 1/4" drive torxs the holes are about 2mm deep, which is not just dimpled there is some depth here. On the 3/8" drive torxs the hole are about 4mm deep, except the T60 which is 10mm. Really don't plan on using them often, but I did try one. Using a 1/4" drive spinner handle, loosen a snug non-tamper proof T25 screw with no problems. The set is probably fine for hand tools.

Shipping:
Took six days, using Amazon's super saver shipping. No complaints.

These are very handy to have on hand for projects that screech to a halt when you find some oddball fastener being used. If you are a DYI or tinkerer nowadays, you never know what you may find requiring specialized tools.

Tough sockets and easy to use. Would have liked a better holder, but cannot fault the product for the price.

Decent quality set of tool for home use. I use it for stand by in case you meet this kind of fastener.
