Adorable little robo-lamp, August 24, 2010
This review is from: 15" ROBOT DESK LAMP (Misc.)
This cool little robot lamp is sitting on my desk illuminating my keyboard as we speak.
He is super adjustable. You'll want to hang on to the included Allen wrench, since he has 14 joints which need to be tightened with the Allen wrench to get him to stay in place.
You can't tell very well from the picture, but Robo-lamp's right hand is a metal clip with jaws, suitable for holding pieces of paper or a photo. The left hand is a two-pronged metal clip which is curved to hold a pen or pencil of average diameter.
It's quite bright, but doesn't have a large area of illumination. If you're using it on a small desk, it will cast just the right amount of light. For a desk that is quite large, you may find the light pool to be somewhat limited. My desk is about 3 feet wide and this works very well.

very cute lamp, March 11, 2010
This review is from: 15" ROBOT DESK LAMP (Misc.)
I've just got it, so no opinion on its durability. Thus far it works and the joints are really cool, you can put your little robot in practically any position. I guess as a gift it's just perfect too.

Fun conversation piece!, December 28, 2010
This review is from: 15" ROBOT DESK LAMP (Misc.)
I chose this lamp to use as a piano lamp, since all the lamps that are classified as "piano lamps" are boring and cost $200. This one is totally fun! It looks down on the music and holds a pencil in its hand! It can also hold a piece of sheet music, but which is not really needed but it draws lots of fun attention to the piano when guests visit.
The joints adjusted easily; follow the instructions and start tightening from the lower joints and work your way up. It comes with an Allen wrench, which should be saved for when you want to pose the lamp in a different position. Everything seems well made and I think this lamp will last a very long time.
