This should be a nice set, but unfortunately, only 24 stones were included. Backgammon needs 30. The wrong instructions were sent as well. It's possible whoever prepared shipment thought this was a checkerboard. I bought it for a Christmas present. I was embarrassed when my fiancee opened it, only to discover she couldn't play it. What a pain. Amazon makes returns easy, but since it's from an outside vender, a replacement wasn't an option. I buy a lot of games, but never again from Gammon Village.
