We're happy with Storage Box,

We were looking for a nice, dark-looking wood or rattan outdoor storage box. The two we settled on were either this product, or the pottery barn outdoor wood storage box. We decided on this box because it didn't require any maintenance such as sanding and restaining. It also is lighter making it easier to move, and it is half as expensive. The product just arrived and I assembled it last night. Assembly was very quick and easy. The box is constructed from a plastic material which is intended to have a "wood-look". Up close it is clearly not wood, but the dark color and slatted appearance make it the best looking plastic storage box I have seen so far. We're pleased with the overall look of it together with our existing outdoor furniture. When it is assembled it seems quite sturdy and has no problem supporting two adults for bench seating just as advertised. Also, it is one of the larger storage boxes available capable of holding a hefty 150 gallons. Overall, our first impression after assembly is very good. The box is just what we were hoping for in terms of appearance, size, weight, and ability to provide additional seating. The only unknown for us is how well it holds up to the elements, which is the reason its received four instead of five stars. I plan on updating this review in a year to address this.Addendum: After having the box for a full year, we remain very pleased with it. Throughout a hard winter all of the contents remained dry. It was also fairly easy to clean with just soap and water. As of now I would highly recommend the box as it has functioned well for us.

This 150 gallon Keter Deck Box is well built and sturdy enough for heavy adults to sit on. We store our deck chair cushions in one and outdoor tools (blower, etc.) in another, as we do not have a garage. Assembly was very easy and requires only a screwdriver and (optionally) a rubber mallet. We found this same item listed at [...]. They were sold out but their site lets you search Sams Club stores for stock and we found that one about 25 miles away still had several. We bought two for just $98.44 each, less than 40% of the Amazon merchant price!

Avoid - looks are deceiving!,

The box is large. Fine. I will give it that and there aren't that many products in this good size. But it stops right there. I bought two of them. They both suffer from the same design flaws. The lid does not close tightly - it warped after two days and the two corners are not closed tight as they should. The rain will and did get in. So after all, its size that was supposed to be its main advantage is also its biggest flaw.I have another Ketter shed and I should have learned the lesson from the first product: cheap design on top of cheap plastic materials. Not good.
