This is a great book for Case fans. Profusely illustrated and almost worth the price just for the front cover (hard cover). Makes a good companion for the "150 Years of International Harvester" book by the same author. Getting hader to find in the hard cover version, so if you can find one at a good price, in good condition - grab it!

When they say 150 years of Case, they are not kidding. The book covers just about everything that Case manufactured from cars tosteam traction engines to gas tractors to plows and everything in between. Naturally it doesn`t go into any great detail of any one item. If it did, there would have to be 10 volumes instead of just one. Still, it gives some basic info on just about everything along with many illistations and photos. The only thing I noticed missing (not that I`m any expert on J.I. Case) was the 150hp steam traction engine. And I`m pretty sure that less than 10 of those monsters were ever made. An excellent book for anyone interested in Case, or antique machinery in general. |
