Net10 Service
The Net10 pay-as-you-go wireless service offers all local, long distance and roaming calls at one low price of 10 cents per minute. All Net10 prepaid wireless service is provided by TracFone Wireless--America's #1 prepaid wireless company with a national footprint covering 99 percent of the U.S. population. There are no contracts, credit checks, monthly fees, security deposits, activation or deactivation charges, or age restrictions.

All Net10 handsets have a display that shows the actual airtime balance on the phone's display for ease of tracking usage. Net10 handsets also carry an "instant refill" feature that allows users to add airtime directly from the handset on a real-time basis. Key digital features include free call waiting, free caller ID, free voicemail and text messaging at 5 cents per message.

Phone Features
The 1500 sports a clamshell design with a 128 x 128 color display. The outside cover of the handset features a 96 x 64 supplementary monochrome display that can display time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. Meanwhile, up and down buttons for volume control are placed on the left side. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's control pad.

The 1500's built-in address book can store up to 255 contacts for quick access to all your friends and associates. The phone also supports polyphonic ringtones, as well as ringtones in the MIDI, SMAF, MP3, AAC formats. For times when you want to be discreet, there's also a vibrate ringer mode. Voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names, and the built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk hands-free.

When it comes to messaging and Internet connectivity, the 1500 is ready to keep you in touch with the latest technology. In addition to basic text messaging, you can send pictures and sounds via the multimedia messaging service, and there's a built-in WAP 2.0-compatible Openwave web browser. T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

A number of handy software tools are bundled with the 1500 including a calculator with unit converter, a calendar and an alarm clock. And because the 1500 is Java enabled, it supports games written on the Java platform. You can also customize the phone's wallpapers and screensavers to suit your tastes.

The LG 1500 weighs 3.00 ounces and measures 3.28 x 1.71 x 0.89 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 2.5 hours of digital talk time, and up to 250 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 850/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS frequencies.

We have had this phone for about 6 months and it is great. Never let us down. All the features seem to be placed in places where they make sense. The other net10 phone we had was stupidly set up, but this one is set up well.

I would recommend this phone to anyone getting a new prepaid phone, mostly because it is so much easier to use than the cheapest ones they offer at places like wal-mart.

i love this little phone.. i actually got it under a regular cell phone plan back in 2006, battery life is excellent, it comes with some pretty ringtones, like the crickets chirping.. i switched plans over from cingular to verizon so i couldnt use it anymore, but it's my favorite of all cell phones AND it's absolutely gorgeous!! buttons work nicely, it's very glossy with a steel grey color.. silver rim with a nifty design then another silver rim around the outer screen.. gets good signal too, hell i might buy this one just to have a bill free worry free cell phone..

This phone would not work in my area code. Before purchasing this phone from NET10 I checked their map for coverage and it showed that it was covered in my area. After purchasing this phone as a Christmas present I went to activate it and I found out it did not work in my area. I was not happy. After talking on the phone for almost an hour I was able to get a replacement phone that did work. So far it works fine but I have my reservations.
