I was reading all the negative reviews and was hesitant to order this lightbulb at first. The bulb in my Frigidaire went out and I needed a replacement. For $2.50 I figured it was worth the risk. I put the bulb in and it's been working great so far..

Works in my lava lamp just as well as the original. And much easier (and cheaper!) than having to pick it up at Spencer's. Peace and molton wax.

I got this as a replacement for a refrigerator light, and it's been in use for 3-4 months. When I finally got around to reading all the reviews, I was frankly pretty puzzled by the complaints that others were making.

This is a standard appliance bulb. I bought it for $2-3, which makes it a decent buy, especially since Amazon delivered it free of charge to my front door, and I didn't have to chase around the city looking for a store that carries these. I expect that it will last as long as the last one, which was several years.

These things screw in and light up and are designed for appliances like refrigerators. I wouldn't know about lava lamps. If it's made in Mexico, yhat's fine by me as long as GE outs its name on it. Some of these are bound to fail early, but generally hey should last.

End of story.

I bought a package of these General Electric appliance bulbs to use in the light in an overhead range hood. These are supposed to be usable in an oven, so the heat in the hood would be far less.

Two of these bulbs burned out in less than six months of very limited use. (I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I avoid it whenever possible.) I have experienced premature burn-out with other GE bulbs as well.

GE light bulbs suffer from premature burn-out and should be avoided.

These bulbs only last about 6 months, but the more expensive ones do not seem to last much longer. They seem to work ok.

This is great for the price. I was not sure about it, but so far it is OK. I went to the store after buying this and did not regret my purchase. I did not find anything better yet and it came prime! It was a good buy!

This bulb is made in China and lasted 1 week in a range hood. I'm not certain if they are made anyplace else but I'll try to find something better.

Note that this is only a one-pack. No idea why the list price is $47.39 or why the price is now double what I paid a week ago ($3.49 to $6.27). Caveat emptor.

Although this is the type of bulb recommended for a Lava branded Lava Lamp, it often does not supply enough heat for the lava effect to initiate, rendering the lava lamp just an ugly lamp.

Lightbulbs will probably not be around 1-2 decades from now because the technology is dated, the filament burns out very quickly, and it is not energy smart. We have no choice but to buy these for now because the CFLs or LEDs don't work with our dimmer switches in the house. Wouldn't buy these if we had a choice.
