R&B from overseas,

While in France I kept hearing this catchy song on the radio. When I got back to the U.S. I figured out it was Nadiya and decided to purchase her album for that one song (Parle Moi). I was pleasantly and happily surprised to find the whole CD enjoyable. A mix of pop like R&B songs some include rap and sound effects, while there are a few slower songs on the album. I listen to the album often and found it was worth the steep import price.

I don't know who produced these but I think they can be a little better with the right ear to it. I was also hoping for a little more arabic/rai music incorporated into the songs, but in general not a bad buy. I would be interested in the what she will come out with on her next album. If you truly want a slamming CD, try Gerald de Palmas Marcher dans le Sable. I almost cried to some of the songs. email me at (...)
