5.0 out of 5 stars Seriously?
Stores charge around seven dollars to resize a watch band.
Typical watch band resizing simply requires a pin to push out a push pin, removing a link, then reinserting a pin. This takes less than five minutes and definitely isn't worth the money.

For the cost less than changing two watch bands, you could have this handy kit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
This kit does the job, but the quality of tools are pretty low... Not sure how long they will last if you use them more than occasionally. If I had it to do over again I would probably spend a little extra coin on some higher quality tools.

There are no instructions included, some tools feel cheap, some seem dirty, but at this price, you've made a profit if you size just two watch bands.

I have tried using all the parts of this kit.

The blue pin pusher works fine, it just won't work on the really large bands.

The case back opener seem dirty, but it worked fine in removing case backs of several watches I own.

All of the other pieces of the kit work as advertised, and I have not had any problems.

You could always use the pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers elsewhere, so this kit isn't only limited to watch band resizing.

Excellent though some what inexpensive tools to work on your watch. Easy to use and does what is needed. I'm impressed with them. Would recommend them for home use on a normal number of watches. Would buy again.

The product provided me with the necessary tools to do what would have cost me a bunch of money at a jeweler. I'm very pleased and have used it quite a b it so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent tool box, August 24, 2007

Very easy to use despite limited instructions - if you ever held a screwdriver in your hand and you don't have 2 left hands... after all resizing a bracelet is not rocket science and there are plenty of sites out there to get you started! Overall good product, fun to use if you have a trace of common sense, and cheap compared to similar sets!

I used tools from this kit to successfully size a Seiko OM bracelet, which is tricky to say the least. I was also able to remove screw down casebacks, replace batteries and change straps. Very satisfied with this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars watch repair kit, February 2, 2009

This review is from: 16 PCS Watch Tool Kit (Watch)
one of the best purchases I've made. Doing watch battery and link replacement on my own saved me more than $120 since I had 10 watches that needed batteries. Only downside is that the tool to remove the back was not quite thin enough and the price increased from $15 to $20 between the day that I found it and the day I ordered it (about a week). That's a big increase, but I still saved on the watch repairs.

3.0 out of 5 stars cheap but not good quality, July 22, 2010

Pretty cheap stuff, with a bunch of tools. For such low price, it is super worthy. However, two bad points need to stress:

1. The blue color pin remover is not designed well, rough plastic quality, every joint does not match properly, easy to tilt. When I was using it to adjust the watch bracelet, first 3 times was OK, but the pin cracked at 4th time. Moreover, there is only ONE pin inside, so no replacement is possible. Then the blue color pin remover become a trash to me, sadly.

2. The gold color pliers with two black plastic pin, which is in the middle of the figure, is not big enough. If you have a watch, sizing more than 4.0cm diameter, this tool is not plausible to open back cover to replace a new battery.

This is _not_ a high quality set that will last you for a decade. However it has everything you need to adjust watchbands for a reasonable price. I really appreciated the "hammer" with the little tools that let one hammer out the band pins -- and all in a matter of seconds. That made adjusting the band a breeze. Recommended even if the kit isnt of high quality -- it still gets the job done. There are instructions for the tools but they are on the website of the manufacturer.
