Most likely the best ska band ever,
By
This review is from: 17 Reasons (Audio CD)
I can't not begin to tell you how good this is. There is so much energy so much range in this cd that it will drive you mad, this is hands down the best ska record ever. It's great even the lyrics are pretty good (one of the biggest complaints I have about ska even though I do love it) it is about growing up hangin' out you know the drill. 17 great songs who could ask for more? The vocals are great I like Nic's voice a lot it has good range he goes from normal singing to screaming (not like SCREAMING actually more like yelling) and the music is steady you know it doesn't go fast/slow/fast/slow it usually stays steady you know like mid/fast/fast/mid/slow/fast something like that if you get my drift. Favorite songs, dance floor, Pretty Girls (my very favorite), Dimestore Hoods, Verbal Klint, Jeff Acre F!ed his Truck up. I love this album buy it and sing along.

Crazy Good,

Link 80 is incredible. They combine intense punk rock with horns and ska melodies, and also a very thrash and an almost heavy metal sound. Definitely one of the best skacore bands ever, these guys are an amazing example of their genre. If you are interested in hearing skacore or if you are a fan of any form of punk rock this cd will not dissapoint. This is the kind of CD that can be appreciated by all kinds of people from a variety of musical preferences. Catchy yet unforgivingly fast and brutal. Op Ivy fans check these guys out! Best skacore out there,
This review is from: 17 Reasons (Audio CD)
This rocks. Its like opivy with horns, and a little more hardcore. If you like opivy, rancid, voodoo glowskulls, big d and the kids table or streetlight manifesto, get this. It will blow you away.

Just plain Incredible,

Link 80 has to be one of the greatest ska-core or ska-punk bands the world has ever seen, and this album sure proves it. 17 songs filled with energy, gritty vocals, fast paced drumming, furious guitar riffs and great horn lines. If you have never heard this band and have been wanting to check them out, I highly reccomend this. If youre a ska-punk fan or are willing to try out some harder edged ska, pick this up. If you are a fan of punk and ska in general, I say that this belongs in your CD collection. My favorites include Verbal Kint, Nothing Left, Preety Girls, What Can I do, Dimestore Hoods, Nowhere Fast, and Jenifers Cafe, but hell, all these songs are great. GET IT!

This cd is absoloutly brilliant. "Verbal Kint" is the most thrashing song. Link 80 rewrites the definition of ska-punk. If you like OPIV or Rancid definetly check this one out.

This CD rules. I love it, i just finished reading "His Bright Light" which is the story of Nick Traina and it's REALLY good, so if ya want more info check that out. Anyway, the reason i gave it 5 stars, is cuz i LOVE the lyrics, and the music is pretty d*** good, but I can't hear it to it's full extent, because of the fizz on the realplayer. Anyway, i love this cd.

i had the chance to see link 80 on their 1st trip to the east coast in the summer of 97 and didn't go because i was leaving for the beach that night.the next time i heard anything from link 80 it was when nick died.i was very saddened to hear of theis tragic news(read the book written by his mom dianne steel and it will tell you the sad end to a wonderful person)my friends went to the show and said it was a very good show.they hung out with nick after the show for a while too.i was mad i missed the show and was even madder i missed meeting nick before he passed away.nick's sprit will live on with this album, killing katie and his other album with his other band knowledge.songs like nowhere fast, pretty girls, what can i do?,slap, and nothing left.nick was a very good songs writer and a great person.may his sprit and music live on. WHEN I WAS A CHILD,MY CASTLE WAS MY HOME,NOW I WALK DOWN EMPTY STREETS,MEMORIES AND ME ALONE,IT'S EASIER TO BURN A BRIDGE THAN TO CROSS IT,TO SLIP,GIVE IN,GIVE UP,MOVE ON,AND TRY TO FORGET....-Slap

It's Amazing!,

This album is one of the bests i've heard in a long time! Nick was not only an awesome singer, and a great person, he is, in my opinion, the greatest lyricist ever! He puts into words what most of the youth feels about authority, and life itself. He also is a spokesman for punks, and such people, about their atitude towards the upperclass peoples, and just, many types of annoying people. He embodies many people's feelings on this album. He was just an amazing person. "This is not a phase, this won't be outgrown, we've got things to say, i am not alone."- "Enough"
