School Work
I am a 5th and 6th grade music teacher. For the end of the year, we are doing a musical study...we picked the Music Man. I used this, along with Meredith Willson's book: But He Doesn't Know the Territory, to do a background study for my students before we watched the movie.

Songs from the show printed in extra large notes.
This book appears to be the " book" from "MUSIC MAN from the way it is listed. It is not however. It consists of songs from the show with melody line only printed in extra large notes. Each note contains the name of the pitch writen inside. It is only marginally useful as a teaching tool for children and is defintely not what it appears to be in the...

It is probably my own fault that I received only a selection of the music and lyrics of "The Music Man." However, I was disappointed not to receive the whole score. That is what I thought I was ordering. That which I received is well-done and complete. I will continue to order through Amazon, but will read the small print more carefully.

After reading the very positive reviews, I order this book-expecting it to have all of the music from the score w/vocals & piano. This book only has 8 pieces w/only the main tune - no accompniment or harmony. Not at all what I was expecting from the reviews~
