While I am somewhat handy with vehicles, you don't have to be when changing most air filters. Some might think it is crazy, but I really believe these things do what they say they do... improveme in mileage and power. While not overwhelming, it is certainly noticeable. Combine it with a few other mods and I think you'll be surprised, I know I was. I am now saving two miles per gallon between this and a few other changes I made. All that aside, they last forever with the occasional cleaning so you can't go wrong. Great filter.

On the recommendation of a mechanic friend I dropped one of these into my 1999 Silverado 1500. (202,000 miles and still running strong.) My unscientific testing revealed a pickup of 1 MPG. Not too shabby. When the time comes for a new air filter for my wife's Tahoe, I'll buy a K&N. Plus I can claim that I'm helping to save the Earth because I'm no longer dropping used filters in the trash. You can't put a price on that kind of smug self-satisfaction.
