Dressed in a red velvet suit lined with white fur adorned with pearls, this Santa is holding a small green Christmas tree decorated with five golden rings, and at his feet are six geese, true to the song. Like all of Steinbach's creations, he is intricately crafted with the finest attention to detail.

I bought this as a gift for my son who collects nutcrackers. It is much fancier and more traditional than most nutcrackers sold in the US. It was pretty expensive which gave me pause. But it is well crafted and a terrific collectors item. I hope to buy him one of the Days of Christmas nutcrackers each year.
