This elongated seat features color-matched bumpers and hinges. It is proudly made in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, USA with environmentally friendly materials and processes.

From the Manufacturer

Mayfair toilet seats are designed to fit all manufacturers round or elongated standard toilet bowls. Measuring for the correct size prior to purchasing your seat is very important. Using a tape measure, first measure the distance between the hinge post holes at the back of the lid area. The standard distance between the hinge post holes is 5-1/2-inches. Once you have determined that the hinge post hole distance is standard, next you'll need to determine if your bowl is round or elongated. To do this, measure from the front center of the bowl to the area directly between the hinge post holes. The dimension for a round toilet is about 16-1/2-inches. For an elongated toilet, the dimension is about 18-1/2-inches

We have seven children 8 years old and younger. We NEED a product like this. I was excited to find it. When we received it we were surprised at the quality. It is heavy- not lightweight plastic like our old toilet seat. However, this heaviness isn't always the best. When this thing comes down on kids' hands (or if it came down on *ahem* "something else") it hurts! Not ideal for little boys who are learning to lift the seat!

I also found that the littler kids couldn't put the child seat down themselves because of the strength of the magnet holding it to the lid. The child's seat itself is very flimsy and pops off the back really easy. EVERY time we put it down it needs to be snapped back on to the lower seat. It's pretty annoying.

When a boy sits on the little seat and pees the pee ends up between the child's seat and the adult seat. So if you wander in the bathroom without looking and just lift the little seat you will sit in a ring of urine. I really wish there was a lip or something to prevent this.

Over all- it's okay. I think I'd rather just buy a good seat the kids can just put on the big one themselves.

I formerly owned the Kohler product similar to this with a built in training seat that I used while training my son. I was kinda disappointed with the quality. After about 1 yr with normal use the living hinge broke. The seat always felt loose anyway because of the way it "pops off" for "easy" cleaning - who told marketing this was a desirable feature? Normal toilet seats don't pop off. What is your toddler/preschooler doing that you need to remove the entire seat to clean it? Anyway, I thought I would give this seat a try now that I am training my daughter.

This entire seat too pops off for easy cleaning but in locks into place when installed and feels more solid than the Kohler ever did. At first I was ready to give it a lousy review because I installed it w/o reading the directions (it's a toilet seat for goodness sake - two plastic thumb screws). The training seat rotated on two pins but didn't lock in place - I thought it might have been a work-around to some Kohler patent in which they could permanently affix the training seat w/o infringing on the Kohler patent. I finally found the directions and I was instructed to "snap" the training seat over the pins. The locking features were barely noticeable but when I gave it a little press in the pin area I heard 2 distinct clicks and wah-la!

The seat is nice. The Kohler one has a lot of contours and raises the height of the toilet seat by about an inch when the training seat is down not what one needs for a 32" tall person who is determined to use the big girl potty! The contours also seemed to make it difficult for both seats to stay up when my husband would use it. This one the training seat is perfectly flat and magnetically sticks to the lid when not in use. It's pretty slick. I just received it so I haven't road tested it but if we have a problem I will update my review. I am a little worried that the training seat will pop off the pins easily but we shall see.

My children are one, two and three years old and we have been tripping over potty chairs in the bathroom for months. No more! We first saw this at a commercial business, and have been searching for one since. The small ring folds right into the lid when not needed, and is easy for the little ones to pull down. This is one of those "why didn't I think of that" products.

We were about to potty train our 2 yr old, but were unable to find any toddler potty seats that would fit an elongated toilet. All the premade toddler seats you're able to buy in stores are made for the short, round bowls and they slide all over, which frightened our son. Then on a Google search, we came upon this seat and ordered it right away. Easy installation - the seat screws on like any other toilet seat, and the toddler seat snaps on in seconds. The magnetic kid's seat is PERFECT size for little toddler bums and is easy enough for our 2 yr old to pull down and use. He's not scared to use it, it's stable and doesn't slip or slide (he also loves having his "own" seat!) When he's done, it's easy to just push up and out of the way. This seat was exactly what we needed for potty training and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable/safe potty seat for their little one. A++

When I first started potty training my 2 year old son, I started with a Bjorn potty chair. He got the concept quickly but it didn't take. That was partly my fault seeing as we didn't potty train in our house. But one thing I noticed was that I hated having to touch the dirty potty. Having to empty and clean the potty chair after every use was not only disgusting, but it would confuse my son. He would get praise for going potty on his chair, and then would watch as I poured it into the big potty. He would go back and forth from his potty chair and toilet with this inquisitive look. But when I would try to put him on the toilet he would scream and hold his flow afraid to use the big potty. I was using the Bjorn potty insert on the toilet so it wasn't like I was strictly putting him on the toilet to feel insecure or like he was going to fall into this big gapping hole between his legs.

I put my son back into his diapers because I feel pull-ups can be confusing as well and waited for a better time to start training. From there I started brushing my son's teeth while he sat on the toilet with the lid closed. I was hoping this would help him adjust to the height of the toilet and associate the toilet as being a normal everyday thing. I would also let him into the bathroom with me whenever I had to use the facilities so he knew mom and dad used it too. I was planning on using the Bjorn potty insert seat again, but fortunately my husband worked at a hardware store and informed me of a custom ordered toilet seat he heard about from a customer. After doing some research I came across this seat. It made sense! Why would I want to have to remove the toddler seat whenever I had to use the restroom or subject guests to having to move it or put it back or just try and use it themselves. Haha.
