About the Author
When not creating her own art, Kathy coaches other artists, helping them deal with the sometimes overwhelming business of art easily. How? She breaks it all down into simple, easy-to-follow steps then adds her ongoing structure and support.
Her most unique qualification may be that she, too, is an emerging artist. Shes out there, every day, putting herself and her artwork on the line. And shes proven that she knows how to do it successfully by treating art as a business.
Kathy brings nearly twenty years experience as teacher, corporate trainer, and workshop leader to her coaching practice. And she often draws on the business skills she gained in her many years as Creative Director for leading advertising agencies in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Milan.
Kathy holds a BA degree from Rutgers University, NJ, and earned her MEd from West Chester College in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the International Association of Coaches, and the owner of smART Business Coaching, New York. Today, Kathy works out of her studio located in a beautiful 150-year-old brownstone in midtown Manhattan.
