Though this part wasn't the exact name brand replacement part it worked perfectly. It was easily installed and fit with ease. The best part is that is was significantly cheaper than the original replacement part (from craftsman).

This part was a perfect replacement. It fit perfect and the bearing was of the sealed type.
Exact as exact gets. I've mowed the lawn twice with the new part (approx. 1.4 acres) and it functions just like the old. The star portion where the blade bolts on was perfect also.
Shipping was fairly quick (I went with the Amazon free shipping). Threads were nice and clean. Zirk fitting works good. Price was very competitive as well. No complaints. Very satisfied ! The only thing I could complain about was that no torque spec was supplied for where the lock nut tightens (the top of the shaft - see pic). But this spec can be found elsewhere - I got it off You Tube @ 55 ft lbs.
I could just as easily have called Sears or Husqvarna and probably gotten it as well. Anyway, I will buy from these guys again. oh yea - my model if it matters, is the Craftsman DYS 4500 tractor with the 48 inch mower deck. Thanks for a high quality part!
