Real pearl, September 27, 2000
This review is from: 19/6/00 - Hala Tivoli, Ljubljana, Slovenia (Audio CD)
This is the CD that all of us grunge fans in Slovenia have been waiting for since 19. 6. 2000. Eddie Vedder and other members of this incredible band have come to Ljubljana on that hot June day and brought with them all the best songs from there new album Binarual (Insignificance, Breakerfall, Nothing As It Seems,...) and other great songs (Indifference, Last Kiss, Daughter,...). I dont think Hala Tivoli has ever seen that great show before. Audience was going crayz, singing with Eddie and trying to climb onto the stage. More than 2 hours of great music was enough to satisfy every Pearl Jam fan, and now, whit this CD out, I can say that Peral Jam is one of the best bands in the whole world that thinks about there fans and trys to do everything to make them happy. And they are doing really great, cause every song that they make is on my Wishlist. I wish that we will see you again, Pearl Jam.

A real gem, September 29, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: 19/6/00 - Hala Tivoli, Ljubljana, Slovenia (Audio CD)
I can't understand why this CD isn't getting more attention. Everyone's talking about Hamburg, Milan and Katowice, which are all great shows, but this one is definitely in the same league. The setlist is terrific, the band is hot, and the chemistry with the crowd is electric. A "must have" for even the casual Pearl Jam fan.

A Gritty, Fast-Moving Performance, October 24, 2001
This review is from: 19/6/00 - Hala Tivoli, Ljubljana, Slovenia (Audio CD)
Disclaimer: Owner of all 72 official PJ bootlegs. This show in the obscure location of Ljubljana, Slovenia is one of the pleasant surprises of the European bootleg series. This is a gritty, intense performance, with a highly intriguing set list full of tunes that appear very rarely elsewhere in the tour, all played with extra soul and flair. Granted, this show gets off to a rather weak start, with Eddie Vedder flubbing many of the lyrics in "Corduroy" (they play this song every single night, for cryin' out loud), and Mike McCready and Stone Gossard are really out of sync in "Breakerfall" and "Hail Hail." After this bumpy start however, the band explodes into a powerful performance of their heaviest songs, and a smaller number of ballads than usual. Some of the surprises in the set list include great renditions of "Brain of J," "Faithful," and "Spin the Black Circle." There are absolutely incredible takes on "Red Mosquito" and "I Got Shit," two of my personal favorites which are not played very often on the tour. "Porch" appears for the very first time in the tour to close the second set, and they would use this firecracker of a song many more times thereafter. One interesting thing about the European bootlegs is that they show you how people in a surprising number of nations can speak English, and Eddie can rap with the crowd without a translator and everybody loves it (or maybe they're just excited to hear him speak at all, and don't really know what he's saying). Watch for Eddie's slam at Slobodan Milosevic in this show. The key to this performance is the unexpected use of "Indifference" to close the show. This quiet and moody song takes on a spine-tingling aspect as the crowd sings along to the disturbing lyrics on loneliness and depression. This is one of the most goosebump-inducing moments in the entire series.
