I've been using this shoe horn for over a month now, and it makes getting into my shoes a breeze. I bought this to help with handicaps that make getting shoes on difficult. With the spring action and smooth horn, my feet slide right in, without crushing the back of the shoe. It's been perfectly durable so far. I recommend it.

If you are looking for a quality shoehorn for a gift or for yourself, consider this extended shoehorn. Not only is a pleasure to use but it is a quality product, with a solid wood handle, heavy duty brass spring to make slipping on your shoes a pleasure and is MADE IN THE USA! Not a cheap Chinese import that will break in a few weeks and is dangerous to your health

Living on a farm, "no shoes in the house" is a necessity since I cannot afford a maid. Everyone loves using the long handled shoehorn and I get lots less grousing from everyone.

See, I have this one pair of slip-on shoes that fit great, but they put up a fuss to slide in to.

I dug out one of those cheapy plastic shoe horns that sometimes comes in the box with a new pair of shoes. It did OK, but I had to sit down to use it IF I could find the dang thing, it was so small.

Got around to looking up shoe horns here on Amazon and couldn't believe HOW COMPLICATED they can be -- plastic versus metal, spring versus solid, optimal length, reliability, carbon emissions (bah!)...

But seriously, this is a fine little shoe stick. I leave in on the mail table by the front door, sticking up from the basket. The length seems to be a perfect compromise between "easy to store" and "easy to use." I don't have to bend down excessively to shimmy my fat heel into my shrunken shoe -- I can even do it while holding my 2 year old son with my other arm. I've been using mine daily for something approaching 6 months, and it doesn't feel weak, fragile, loose or brittle.

Most importantly, it's big enough it doesn't get lost around the house.

I find that I even reach for it with my less difficult to slip on shoes, and even the pair of sneakers with elastic laces.

I've suffered from arthritis in my spine for the last three years or so. It's particularly painful to bend over and tie my shoes. I've been using an old "freebie" metal shoe horn on pre-tied shoes, but I still have to bend down. Saw this one on Amazon and thought - "kind of pricey, but what the heck." Well, I'm very pleased with both the construction and performance of this shoe horn. The strong, built in spring makes this shoe horn easy to use even if your angle of attack is not quite right. Very sturdy...I expect it to last for years. Even if it doesn't, I like it so much I'll buy another in a minute!

I purchased this for my wife a few years back. She has a spinal cord injury and I thought this shoehorn would ease the task of putting on shoes. It has a flexible piece between the horn and handle that helps when trying to wiggle the heel into the shoe. It has worked well but the horn and flexible piece eventually came off the wooden handle. This happened some time back. I repaired it with duct tape and it has held together since. If not for the repair, I would have given it five stars.

This little device has saved my heels and the backs of my leather shoes for over a year now. Excellent quality and manufacture.

Worth every penny.

Solid construction with a thick handle that connects to a tough spring. The spring allows the horn to bend as the foot slides into the shoe. At 5'7 I can still use this, with a slight bending, while standing to put on a shoe.

This is the one to get.
