Works quite well,
This review is from: 800/1900mHz zBoost Personal Sig. Booster (Electronics)
This device definitely boosts my cell phone signal by a bar or two, which can make or break many phone calls in my hilly area.
Pros: --it works great! --it's really easy to set-up and use --it has made home calls for business and friendship more reliable --it's the lowest cost solution I could find to really boost cell phone signal Cons: --it does not boost the signal in my whole house, only with 4-6 feet of the end of the units antenna --requires to be plugged into an outlet by AC adapter, so it's not mobile

Not the best...,
This review is from: 800/1900mHz zBoost Personal Sig. Booster (Electronics)
I have zero to one bar in my house, and I thought I could get a couple of hot-spots inside; alas, this was to no avail. I put the window unit where it could get two bars, and then I only got one or two bars standing right next to the antenna. So, I am returning them.

I have highly variable AT&T service in my house, ranging from 3 bars to none -- usually at the lower end of this range. Any extended iPhone conversation consists of multiple dropped calls and re-dials. I got frustrated enough to dig around online for a signal booster. This came today and it actually works (much to my surprise). It increased my signal to (gasp) 5 bars -- never before seen in MY house. What's even more amazing is it switches me from Edge to 3G (tho at home I use wifi so this is moot). It's not the most convenient device. You put its base station in a window close enough to an outlet to plug it in. Then you unreel about 20 feet of cable attached to a little antenna with suction cups. It has to be >10 ft from the base station. My phone then has to be within about 10 feet or so of the antenna to get 4 to 5 bars. So now I have cables strung around the room where I want to use the iPhone, and I need to be in that room and close to the antenna, but at least I CAN use my iPhone.

I went from a half a bar to a bar, without the unit, to about five bars with this unit. But it lasted only for a few days, then it reverted to the red light flashing all the time, and then to no light at all. I tried absolutely every possible way suggested to get it working again, but no luck. May have just been a bad unit. When I asked the vendor (DBROTH) for an exchange or a refund, I didn't really care which I got, they responded with a quick refund and apology, so I believe the vendor I purchased from is fine, and I would not hesitate to deal with them again.

If the signal light is on, works well; however, seems to need resetting very often. Will move around the house some but overall this particular product just provides a "tease" of what the repeater should be able to do.
