A Costumer's Godsend,
By
This review is from: 1920s Fashion Design (Paperback)
As a costumer of multiple genres, I have many general fashion design books. With two 1920s musical productions slotted for our upcoming seasons, I needed a book that showed 20s fashions in a variety of settings. This book contains hundreds and hundreds of pictures (far more than any I've seen) of men, women and children. Some accessories (such as parasols, shoes, hats, etc.) are also shown. There are several color plates which give ideas for colors and fabric types. By far, this will be my most referenced book for the 20s. Too bad this author doesn't publish one for every decade in the 20th century!

Basically just a clip art book,
This review is from: 1920s Fashion Design (Paperback)
This book is basically just a clip art book of 1920's fashions. There are lots of black and white line drawings and some color plates. No years or descriptions are given for any of the outfits, you just have to guess at what year each of the outfits are from. Not worth buying if you are interested in fashion history, but good if you are looking for clip art.
