Quite useless for either repair or restoration,
This review is from: 1928-1931 FORD MODEL A Restoration Maintenance Handbook
The book, written in 1966, provides very little specific useful information regarding repair or restoration. It does contain some factual information about the vehicle, but little specific step-by-step information about routine repairs or maintenance. It would be of little, or no help, to any restorer. The photographs are really black and white diagrams, for the most part, and are of little use. Basically, I'd say that about %50 of the book consists of useless photos and drawn pictures, and the remainder of of very little use.

This book is dated. Prices quoted for various procedures must date back to the late '40's. $200 for engine rebuild? In mid 2010 it will be closer to $4,000 for good overhaul done by quality shop.
There are instructions for conversion to hydraulic brakes. 15 of the 120 pages explain this process. |
