I received this statue as a Christmas present from my dad, who knows that The Maltese Falcon (Three-Disc Special Edition) is one of my favorite movies. It arrived in a canvas bag printed with "La Paloma" and a picture of a ship, which was a nice touch, and it was wrapped in shredded newspapers with some kind of Asian characters, in another detail that will thrill devoted fans. My statue sits on the mantel in my living room, and even though it isn't alone there, it's the only item to consistently draw comments from everyone from friends (who pick it up to feel the heft of the thing - this is a solid statue, definitely looks and feels professional) to pizza delivery guys who only see it for a second through the front window. Any fan of film noir, especially those who love The Maltese Falcon, should find a way to own this statue and let it make a bold statement as it is prominently displayed.
