Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Four short silent films that my grandfather, Kurt William Leucht (1896-1976), helped create along with his friends in the Peoria Cinema Club. Over an hour's worth of films are included. These films were most likely made in the 1950's, although exact dates have not yet been determined. These 4 films are the only ones that survived 40 years worth of home storage in my grandfather's house and also in my father's house.

Film 1 - Vegabond Daze (unknown date) (10 minutes) Starring Kurt Leucht as Pete, N. Maloney as Tiny, and also starring the whole Peoria Cinema Club filmed during their annual picnic. This film follows Pete and Tiny as they try to fill their empty stomachs, but the picnic-goers have another idea.

Film 2 - Unknown Name (unknown date) (23 minutes) Starring (Unknown) as Dad, and William Kurt Leucht as Billy, and also starring the whole Peoria Cinema Club filmed during their annual picnic. This film follows Dad and Billy as they start a new hobby as filmmakers. Hilarity ensues as Dad and Billy and their whole family take this new hobby to the annual Peoria Cinema Club picnic.

Film 3 - Best of Intentions (unknown date) (18 minutes) Starring Marilyn Wells or Walls as Myra, and Paul Wells or Walls as Merlon, and numerous other members of the Peoria Cinema Club. This film follows Merlon as he tries to be good while his wife is away, but no matter how he tries he always seems to get into trouble at the most inconvenient of times.

Film 4 - Forewarned is Fore-Armed (unknown date) (12 minutes) Starring Kurt Leucht and numerous family and friends. This film follows a man's crazy and silly obsession with his own home movies and how it adversely affects his relationships with his family and friends.
