Editorial Reviews

The sophomore album from DAVID PAJO under his PAJO banner. Building on the melancholy air of his self-titled debut, Pajo forges on with less sentimentality, taking influences from horror movies, the music of Gorguts, and the poetry of Hafiz. Pop, roots, rock, electro, and blues all get their due.

Biography

Born in Texas, raised in Kentucky; David Pajo is a musician. His name is not in common parlance, but Pajo has been involved in much of the greatest music of the last two decades.

He first played out in the early 1980s. He went on to instant infamy with the group Slint (1986-1990). During the 1990s, Pajo played with King Kong, The Palace Brothers, Stereolab, Royal Trux, The For Carnation, ... Read more in Amazon's Pajo Store

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Adam Bosman on August 22, 2006
Format: Audio CD
It is always good to hear new David Pajo collections, and this is no exception. In my opinion '1968' is much stronger then his 2005 effort 'Pajo.' The music and lyrics are deeper and richer, and the recording is clearer then all of his previous albums Papa M or otherwise. Bottom line: great album, 5 stars!!

Format: Audio CD
After being given a copy of the enjoyable instrumental PapaM CD, "hole of burning alms" of which I had never heard, I decided to look up the guitarist David Pajo and take a punt on this CD. Well for all fans of smooth low fi guitar albums like Elliot Smith's either/or, there is a gem here in the listening. Certainly worth a look and listen.
