The best songs on this CD include Pilot-Magic (one of the all time great pop rock songs), Mud-Tiger Feet (a glam classic), Kenny-The Bump (sure, it's pure bubblegum glam pop all the way, but I dig it!), Andy Kim-Rock Me Gently (another pop classic, some people think he sounds like Neil Diamond)and Brian Protheroe-Pinball (hard to describe, but would have to be considered singer-songwriter)
Glam Rock was still riding high at this time and is well reflected on this CD. Pilot, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Roy Wood, Suzi Quatro, Kenny, Hello, Mud, Barry Blue, Cozy Powell, and even Hot Chocolate all fell under the glam umbrella at one time or another.
This CD contains more songs that were US hits than any other in this series. Among the US pop hits here include Pilot-Magic (which was a 1975 smash hit), Hot Chocolate-Emma (also a 1975 hit), Paul Anka-You're Having My Baby, George McCrae-Rock Your Baby, Olivia Newton-John-I Honestly Love You, The Hollies-The Air That I Breathe.
I mentioned this on an earlier review, but I think all of the artists in this series either all recorded for EMI, or for labels later acquired by EMI, since The Hollies, Hot Chocolate, Mud, Suzi Quatro, and Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel among others all seem to turn up regularly on this series
4.5 stars for this CD.
