I've listened to this CD over and over and have yet to get tired of it. I had the chance to work with Hoyt about 10 years ago on a TV show he was doing in the area. He was the nicest person you could imagine. This CD is definitely one for the collection.

This CD contains all the very best songs of Hoyt Axton. It is even more precious since we lost him forever last week. Hope you're enjoying that Rusty Old Halo, Hoyt!

I've been listening to Hoyt since 1970. This is a good representation of his work. His best songs were never the most popular ones. IN A YOUNG GIRLS EYES pretty much says it all for me. There will never be another one like him.

Before I bought this cd I was familiar with only a handful of Hoyt Axton's songs. For a cd with so many tracks I still don't skip over many of them. You could buy a box full of cd's and still not have as much great music as you'll find here!

An excellent compliation of the most productive years of a great song writer/singer and also a familiar character actor. Although folksy, Hoyt was a true American original and this compliation adequately captures his originality and cements his rightful place in modern country music as a balladeer of out of the mainstream hits.

Never ordered from this company and was pleasantly surprised. CD arrived quickly and I love the CD, brings back memories of the "old days".

I like Hoyt Axton because of his talent but also because he is different -- unique voice, style, song writing, and verve. What a loss addiction caused. This CD is a strong collection, with 15% weak or poorly written songs, 25% so-so, adequate Hoyt songs, and 65% brilliant, fun, strong songs from this time in his life. Man, I would have loved to have heard him as an old man. Late in his life, went to see him in concert for the first time. He was drunk and falling off the stool, and the audience was not mad, but sad because it was clear that he was pushing the old mortality index. But Hoyt at his best -- in my opinion, singing In a Young Girl's Mind or Angelina, is such a treat, RIP Hoyt, we continue to enjoy your music. Last night, it made a long drive from the Grand Junction airport to my home 75 miles away a great time, sure glad no one was listening to my singing along. This collection deserves being purchased --- go ahead and do it.

Absolutely my most played favorite CD. With a lead song about a cat named Kalamazo you know it doesn't get any better. I bought this just to have a second copy on hand. Great, great stuff.....

This is one of the best albums, every track a winner, haven't stopped playing it since it arrived. Some years ago I bought Della and the Dealer on vinyl which had eight tracks on it. As my turntable has been disconnected for a while I thought I would try Amazon to try and find it on CD. This CD you sent was even better with 25 tracks. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Every track is now a favourite!
