PURCHASING/SHIPPING: I ordered one copy used from Mr. Magazine. It arrived a day earlier than beginning of the shipping window, so that was appreciated. However, the "used - like new" designation wasn't quite accurate, nor was "some mildew on the outside cover". There was mildew on the bottom and back of EVERY page and all over the back of the jacket, and some of the pages were stuck together at the bottom because of it (not because of, I know what you are thinking ;). I read a lot about restoring books/photos/magazines that had this type of damage and tried a few things - definitely DON'T use anything liquid since it will smear a calendar like this (both the cover and the printed pages of the calendar itself). What worked best was just baking soda, and a cotton ball, after using a dry brush to get rid of the majority of the dusty mildew particles first. Still stained here and there but overall not bad... after over an hour of work to clean it up.

I bought another copy from AdamsFamiliesBooks of Seattle, and wow, MUCH BETTER condition and packaging entirely. Almost the same shipping speed too, I was very surprised how fast it went from one coast to the other. The calendar was in two plastic slip covers, then sheer paper, then sandwiched between two oversized pieces of cardboard and then finally inserted in the bubble mailer - very pleased with the nearly OCD level of care to make sure it arrived in pristine condition. I couldn't see one single flaw in the calendar, and even the cover had very little wear. Excellent, and considering it was the same price as the first copy I bought, a much better value.
