4.0 out of 5 stars A solid CD, May 15, 2005

This review is from: 1980: 20 Original Chart Hits (Audio CD)
The best songs on here include Dexy's Midnight Runners-Geno (a great song, but it sounds nothing like their lone US hit, Come On Eileen, this is a horn-driven song), Blondie-Atomic, Generation X-Dancing with Myself, Bow Wow Wow-C30,C60,C90,Go (a bizarre tune, had to do with the record industry being upset that people were using blank tapes to record albums & other tapes rather than buy them, a similar problem the RIAA has now with people downloading songs, C30, C60, & C90 were the tapes themselves, C30 being a 30 minute blank tape, C60 a 60 minute blank tape, C90 a 90 minute blank tape)and US chart hits Dr. Hook-Sexy Eyes and Sheena Easton-9 to 5 (which was a hit in 1981 but was renamed Morning Train (9 to 5) in the US so it wouldn't be confused with Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 song which was a hit first in the US.

Don McLean-Crying was also a big US hit in 1981.

I'd give this CD 3.5 stars.
