4.0 out of 5 stars Pell Mell at their peak January 28, 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
A fiery, arty instrumental trio that actually grooved. Bill Owen's slinky guitar lines bouncing off of Bob Beerman's innovative drum beats. I used to see them in Portland around the time this was recorded. I always thought they lost something after they moved to San Francisco and changed members. This is their best recording. I'm glad it's available again.

3.0 out of 5 stars Old school show with new school sensibilities February 7, 2009
By IRate
Format:Audio CD
Energetic performance of quirky grooves from the unusual group in early form is a giddy punk intellectual's best night out. The songs are smart, though in a primitive way, and do have their limitations, functioning much as curious exercise over involved piece, but providing stimulate nonetheless.
