From Library Journal
This is a one-stop sourcebook linking disabled persons with specialized products, resources, books, and services. Creating a starting point for individuals and professionals, the directory is complete but not comprehensive. Information is easy to access. The entries listed by number are indexed in three ways: alphabetically by entry and company name, geographic, and by disability/need. Although the entries are concise and succinct, missing phone numbers, missing contact names, and sporadic inclusion of copyright dates with book listings detract from the usefulness of the text. The directory's strength lies in the listing of assistive devices--nearly 6000. Its weak areas are the listings of conferences, periodicals, and videotapes and films. Popular periodicals such as Silent News and Deaf Life are omitted. Although the directory is not comprehensive, no other reference tool exists to meet the special needs of the disabled in one convenient resource for information.
