What an incredible race this was.

First, it was the first race in which Robert Yates Racing competed following the death of superstar Davey Allison in a helicopter crash at the very same track. The DVD includes the broadcast's pre- and post-race tributes to Allison.

Secondly, this is the race in which Jimmy Horton flipped completely over the wall during a multi-car crash that critically injured fellow driver Stanley Smith. In a separate incident, Neil Bonnett -- making his first start since sustaining head injuries in a 1990 crash at Darlington -- flipped.

It's truly stunning that after being released from the infield care center, Bonnett moved to the broadcast booth to finish out the race. Want to know what a real man is? Neil Bonnett was a real man.

Finally, Dale Earnhardt beat Ernie Irvan to the checkered flag by just 5/1,000ths of a second. Watching this DVD, it's amazing how fast the time flies by. It's well worth adding to your DVD collection.
