Good history to know,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 1996 BOCA National Building Code (Paperback)
I purchased this book to look at the history of a project for a customer. History is important.
The customer's home had significant structural damage due to some high-end windows that were not installed correctly. The problem was headed to court and most likely would have taken 2-3 years to settle. We used this info to prove to the contractor's insurance carrier that the installation had been at-fault. After seeing the irrefutable Codes that were in effect at the time of installation and comparing them to the photos we took, the fault was obvious. So a simple thing like ordering this book on Amazon saved our customer many thousands of dollars and years in court. It also proves our credibility to customers, being able to show them in black & white what the history of Building Codes has been. Every contractor who does remodeling should have a set of the old Code Books on his shelf for reference. Nuff said, D. Merrill
