Reviewing an owner's manual never gives you but so much to talk about. It's just one of those things that if you have a need for, you should own, and that's more or less it. All owner's manuals contain a foreword of some kind, a table of contents, and then all kinds of facts, specifications, and recommendations from the manufacturer for repairs and servicing.

1996 was the first year of the newly-redesigned Caravan, much as it was for the similarly redesigned Plymouth Voyager and Chrysler Town & Country. To quote one fellow on [...]- "It's not just a fish." I have absolutely no idea what he meant by that, but it is true. This minivan is not merely a trout, mackerel or salmon. It is a family vehicle. And like all Chrysler cars from the 1996-2001 years, it looks and drives great. Reliability has, for the Caravan, proved to be something of a letdown. It sure did let me and my family down. Thing fell apart at 10 years of age and about 80,000 miles.

Anyway. To anyone who owns a 1996 Caravan, I say- best of luck to you. I hope your van has held up better than my family's did. If you own a '96 Caravan, make sure you have a copy of this owner's manual.
