This kit fit my 2003 Mazda Protege LX well and it looks good. The instructions were poor (-1 star) and the Amazon compatibility check said it would not work, but clearly that is incorrect since the name of the product has Protege in it and it is installed in my car now without issue. Wouldn't have needed the instructions if this was specifically for my car, but it is a multipurpose kit and you don't need all of the parts for every application.

The kit is all plastic, so you may have issues with rattling noise if anything is loose in the dash - especially if it is immediately above the pocket. I put thin foam on the top of that pocket and the spacer at the back and tie-wrapped everything down.

The first one I received was broken. I had to exchange it. The second one fit in easily. The weight of the radio has caused the bottom to push back out of the dash. I may take it back out and make a bracket to rest the weight on.
