Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Frustrated by all the new area code changes? So were the people at Office TimeSavers. Thats why theyve created the most complete and easy-to-use area code finder available.

Area code changes arent a simple matter. Even though new numbers are published, sometimes the timing of the change or area effected is altered. Office TimeSavers is in constant contact with a wide variety of industry leaders keeping track of the latest changes, and changes to changes, to provide you with the most up to date product available.

The 1999 Codetracker has the most up-to-date and complete listing of all area codes in the North American Numbering Plan, including all of the US, and Canada, as well as parts of the Caribbean. On the map, all existing area codes and their boundaries are clearly shown. They have included blow-up details for major cities so you can see the old and new boundaries and their corresponding area codes. All currently scheduled changes for 1999 are included on the map and their boundaries are clearly shown with dotted lines. All 1999 changes are in an easy to read color with the monthwhen the change will occur.

The reverse side lists all area codes in the US, Canada, and those parts of the Caribbean which are part of the numbering plan. The numbers are listed in numeric order for easy look-up. All the new area codes are in red. All codes tell you 1) where it is located and the major city within that area, 2) in which time zone it is located, 3) if it is a new area code, the month the change becomes effective, and 4) if it is an existing area code which will change, the new number created and when it will take effect.

About the Author

We looked at a lot of other products on the market, and decided that none served our purposes. That's why we set out to create the easiest to use area code map and cross reference look-up table available. Keeping up with the changes can be a difficult task. We maintain a wide variety of industry contacts to make sure we have the most accurate and up to date information available.

Telephone numbers are being consumed at an unprecedented rate and the telecommunications industry is struggling to keep pace. Unfortunately just assigning new area codes isn't a simple matter. Government regulations, litigation, customer revolt against mandatory 10-digit dialing, and increased cellular and pager service demands are just some of the problems. We make sure that we know what changes are taking place and when.

If you are looking for a solution to all the area code changes taking place, or just need a handy reference guide at your desk, we think you can't get a better product than ours.

Whether you need to know where an area code is located, or what the area code is for a specific location, our Codetracker has the answer.
