Fabulous. I loved this book. If you think Rodin and Canova are all that there is to 19th century sculpture, read this book and marvel at these masterpieces. Janson does a really great job and concisely presents so much fascinating information. Some great female sculptors are also included. I think many of these artists will later be "rediscovered" and more widely appreciated. A wide variety of styles: Neoclassical, Romantic, Realism, Impressionism, Academic. The book will also help you to better appreciate 19th century paintings.
