EDIT: save your money and keep looking. this charger gets very hot!! the plugs are loose and i eventually resorted to using tape to hold it together so it wouldn't unplug. the charger i most recently ordered to replace this one has 3 prongs to plug into at the charger box, where as this one has just two.
when this one failed on me, i could no longer control the mouse via the touchpad. it jumped around all over the place. odd. the new charger i got to replace this ( http://www.amazon.com/Techno-Earth-Adapter-Charger-Gateway/dp/B002QN9YJC/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t ) is just a better quality product and the price is WAY better. :END EDIT the biggest thing i should mention is that the picture show a dc plug that is bent but the one i received has a plug that comes straight out the back. the original one that came with my computer looks like the one pictured in that respect. i dont know if this will help or hurt as far as the item lasting. i bought my computer in april of 2008 and the original didnt even last one year. the old one 'shorted' out on the wire just behind the dc plug. (rolls eyes) Planned Obsolescence!! hehehe btw, the seller, accessory genie, was awesome. i ordered this on march 21 and received it today, march 26. i would buy through them again, for sure. |
