I don't review things very often but I couldn't let this product languish without at least one review. It's too good a product.

I've owned on of these for several years now and must say it absolutely lives up to the description. Very realistic performance with an easy ramp up and a long coast spin time but don't let that fool you. This thing can deliver punishment when you shift into high gear and get your speed up. Awesome, quiet, performance.

The construction quality is really top notch - lots of machined alloy parts and a huge flywheel. I hear very little tire squeak even when I really stand on the pedals due, I believe, in large part the the over sized flywheel diameter.

My only complaint is the cups aren't cut to support my quick release so I need to use one of the cheap old-style skewers (the ones with the L-shaped lever). On the upside the full cups and just general over-engineered nature of this thing gives a secure feel. I've never had a problem with stability despite my 190 lbs size and strong legs.

So no more excuses about the weather or whatever. Just get one of these and a couple Spinervals DVDs and you're set to get in the best cycling shape of your life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top quality product, top customer support, October 15, 2009
This review is from: 1up USA CPR A-2000 Bicycle Trainer (Misc.)
I've owned this product for about 2 years and put several hundred hours on this thing. There is almost no setup, almost no maintenance, it almost seems to good to be true. The ride quality on it is quiet and can really punish you when you pop into a higher gear. If that's still not enough for you, there are bearing adjustments that can be made to increase the resistance even more, but I haven't needed to change from the standard configuration. The company that makes this product backs it 100%. I did encounter a problem with my unit about a year after it's purchase and when I contacted them about it, without hesitation, they sent out a new resistance unit and told me to ship mine back once I received the replacement unit. I can't say enough good things about this product and the company.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the real deal, September 10, 2009

In looking for a trainer, I stumbled upon this unit. After reading all the evaluations I could find, I ordered one. By far, one of my better decisions. Easy setup, great feel, and super quiet. The only thing I read that scared me a little is that a couple of people said they had trouble adjusting the slip out of the rear wheel adjustment. I don't understand this - the adjustment for the rear wheel to CPR resistance unit is easily made.
Super compact storage, extremely solid and well engineered. You will not regret this purchase.
