I have about 15 R/C helis, v911's v912's MJX F45 and some Heli Max stuff. This thing is about the size of the V912 (little smaller). The difference is this thing does nothing right. The Transmitter is a toy and the Helicopter doesn't have the power to fly in the slightest wind. The V912 blows the thing away. The little V911 can handle more than this piece of junk. I flew the FG46 twice tonight...it's going on E-Bay this weekend.
If you are looking for this size with a great transmitter, get the V912.

I own a MJX F45, a Syma, F1, and 2 WL toy V911 's .The V911's are great for flying in the house , But the F45 and F1 are way to big. So I wanted a mid size chopper. It was tough to decide between V912 and DH 9116, I picked this one because I have the F45 and am very happy with it. There was no choice of color but I hoped for the blue one, And when I opened the box my wife said my eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. And man what a beautiful Blue Helicopter. Out of the box it flue way to much to the left, but after a few adjustments on the swash plate and servo rods, this bird is AWESOM. It hovers 2 feet off the floor dead vertical in about a 6 foot square area in the center of my living room. Then I took it up to about 6 feet above the furniture and flue it at a nice pace around the room that's about 15 x 15. Its still a little to big for my house , But if RC helicopters are one of your hobby's like mine, Then you can fly this Chopper anywhere..

Before flying this I had only flown the V911 Small Single-Blade and Gyro Mid-Sized Helicopters.

The first thing I noticed was that to get it into the air I had to gun it or it would tip on take-off. When I finally got it airborne and trimmed out it seemed pretty stable and I started flying around with increasing distance.

After several minutes I seemed to start getting the "TBE" as instead of flying straight it was sliding sideways. I was unable to regain control for a proper landing and it angled into the ground, breaking both main blades.

I replaced the blades, checking all the screws for tightness (some were loose), and installed the optional camera.

It is possible that my lack of experience with this type/size of bird led to my crash. But I feel I advanced in this hobby by repairing and upgrading this Helicopter. I look forward to flying it again and gaining more experience with the controller.

This is not a toy for small children, as it is big and fast enough to do real damage or injury and requires some skill to fly.

I like the size (14 inches from nose to center of tail rotor, 16" rotor span) and the "whoosh" of the wide blades. 10 below zero this morning, but I took off inside from the hard floor. After pushing it past the air bubble near the floor it was controllable and I was able to trim it while keeping my eyes on it. The hard left skid on the floor when taking off is scary, but it flies! The transmitter works very well, with three stages of control sensitivity and a knob to turn the throttle down from 100%.

I have a Syma F3 that I've had in tree branches, bounced on the driveway, slid off the roof and it's still going strong - same blades and everything. (Cut the throttle early!) I hope the practice will keep me from making the same mistakes with this helicopter, and the larger size will help me keep it oriented when it gets 50 feet away.

If I golfed I could play a couple rounds or own this helicopter. I'll take this helicopter any day.

Update: Able to try it outside this morning. A slight breeze had already started and the response of the helicopter was unable to move against it. Using full forward and left or right aileron together will make some headway, but it's a struggle. Anything with a flybar will lack the control you need to fly much against wind and I should have known that.
