I almost always buy special/collector's editions of movies, but unless I missed something it seems that for '2012' the special edition is only available for Blu-Ray players. That's too bad. Does that mean that the push to make regular DVD's obsolete has begun?
Not true. The 2-disc special edition on blu-ray has the original one disc, along with a second disc that has an interactive Mayan calendar, multiple featurettes on bringing the movie to life, a digital copy, deleted scenes and much more.
It also has a digital copy, so in essence it is 3 disc.
I was wondering, since I now own a copy that says 2-disc special edition with the 3rd disc being the digital copy disc, it says on the digital copy disc "Dvd Video". Does this mean that this is a dvd+Digital Copy combo disc? If it does, I tried to play it on WinDvd and it asks me to enter the activation code like I was downloading a digital copy. Also, if this isn't a dvd disc, does this mean the 3-disc Special Edition has a dvd copy of this movie as well as the Blu-Ray and Digital Copy?
