It's a great product by York Barbell. Clean set up for the most part.
One thing though, they don't ship the 45 pounders in a box or anything so expect them to be dinged and chipped to all hell when you get them like me. Love spending hundreds of dollars on products that are in questionable condition by the time they get to me. There were multiple holes in the box for my bar as well but it wasn't dinged, the bubble wrap did it's job. Just think what $2 worth of bubble wrap and cardboard would have done for my 45 pounders.

I bought this set from a local company for $219.00 so the Amazon price seems a bit high. The set is exactly the same as the weights I've used for years at my local gym and the overall quality is excellent. The Bar is a real 45 lb Olympic bar, unlike many other "value" weight sets that substitute a 35 lb bar.

I got this set a couple months ago and am very pleased with it. This set costs more these days because the plates are York's "Legacy" series which are machined for uniform weight. Previously they were selling plates made "overseas [Asia]" at a lower price, but apparently no longer carry these. The Legacy plates are made at their facility outside Toronto and these came in boxes clearly marked "Made in Canada." I don't know where the bar came from, but it is not one of York's split collar setups - the collars are bolted on at the ends with hex bolts. It appears that this bar will be more than adequate with 300 lbs on it and probably alot more. If you want to put a whole lot more on it or do dynamic olympic-type lifts you may need a better bar.
